If these are standard accounts, they'd need to disable that setting themselves in the dashboard:

when i log into a connected account and go to settings, there's no 'public' link or option

i'm going into the connected account from my main account

just to see if the settings exist but i don't see any

Are these standard accounts? You wouldn't be able to access these details

For custom/express accounts this should be going off your own platform settings for the destination charges

Are you logging in to the standard account directly, or using the connect "view dashboard as" function?

Right, I don't think that will be exposed there -- the account would need to log in directly
