Hello! The error message is correct; you can't supply metadata there for a line item. You can only set metadata on the Payment Link itself at the top level.

I don't think we have an example of specifically setting metadata on a Payment Link, but we have documentation about metadata here: https://stripe.com/docs/api/metadata
