Unfortunately, that's not possible
So the terminal is merely to collect payment details - the visual of the screen is locked? (And the direction is to build a point of sale externally via a tablet or something before you get to the "pay" piece?)
(I am mainly wondering if it's possible to collect a customer's phone number in order to track spend to their loyalty account from the WisePOS E terminal)
Ahhhh okay, yeah you can do whatever you want with the POS system, it's just the Terminal screen that cannot be updated.
Collecting phone number before or after payment should be easy enough
"the POS system" is whatever we develop that is NOT hosted on the WisePOS E, correct?
So "collecting phone number before or after payment" means we should plan on having a separate tablet where customers input their info, and then they're presented to pay with the WisePOS E in this instance - but the WisePOS E is not configurable to collect phone number itself?

@radiant crystal yes that's correct. You can't do any of this on the reader today. It's something we're looking into but it's more long term so for now you'd have a tablet or computer that would have the checkout flow and the reader is just used for the card details collection (and tip)
