For Express Accounts you can't connect already existing accounts to a platform. Express accounts are isolated per-platform so you want to create them via the API and then use Express Onboarding: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/express-accounts

What button are you talking about specifically? If they click on the logo in the top left then it should take them to the return_url
