ahhh wait I think I found the answer here https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/pending-updates

So it seems I can use payment_behavior => pending_if_incomplete to only have the Subscription make the changes once the invoice with prorations from upgrade is successfully paid

And so this way (if I understand correctly), the subscription will keep running as is, and should the client come back again and again try to upgrade, it will go through the same process again and only make the new changes if the invoice is indeed paid, right?
