Hi there, can you share with me the Radar rule and the PaymentIntent ID of the payment that went through?
pm_1MTHs0AdvdKnTEXLad6WQxSg and the rule is "Review if :card_funding: = 'prepaid' "
Do you have the PaymentIntent ID?
This is what the "Risk insights" popup says when examining the card
One second

Got it.
Based on the record on my end, the funding type for this card is credit, not prepaid
Let me check your Dashboard, one sec
Looks like the Dashboard's Prepaid card? is wrong
Thanks for the feedback, I'll report this problem to the development team
Well, it doesn't "behave" like a credit card. Long story short, I review/block prepaids because I offer a try-before-you-buy service that frequently gets abused by those using prepaids. The customer associated with the PaymentIntent is not returning what he has borrowed. My hunch is that there's something weird with this card but I can't tell what it is...
Maybe you can consider placing a hold on the payment as deposit(so that you are guaranteed to get paid) and only release the deposit when your customer returns (https://stripe.com/docs/payments/place-a-hold-on-a-payment-method)
You can hold up to 7 days
I get "Your card does not support this type of purchase."
Which is really weird. When dealing with customers with prepaids who don't return the stuff, it'd just be insufficient funds on the card (leading me to create the Radar rule for prepaids). But with this one, I'm not sure what to even make of it
Can you share with me the PaymentIntent ID?

OK. The card issuer declined this transaction. The customer needs to contact their card issuer for more information.
Yes, I read that as well
It seems unlikely they will contact the card issuer to pay for something they don't intend to return haha
But I'm just more interested in how I can block stuff like this in the future
It says prepaid here which could be a UI bug but based on what has transpired I am not sure this is the case
If you see the card type, it says Visa credit card
Yes
So this is a credit card that's why it passed your Radar rule
Right
