Apologies, the server has been busy but I will try to double check on that.

I haven't come across anything definitive, but some of the discussions I'm seeing are giving me the impression that the cloning behavior is not expected to copy metadata. I would suggest copying those details manually after creating the new Payment Method if they are important to your flow.
