Hi there

#

You create the endpoint via the API to set an older version

jaunty lily
#

ok thanks. I will take a look!

#

I am just using a local test with stripe-cli though.

#

Ready! You are using Stripe API Version [2022-11-15].

#

I can still create the endpoint and use stripe-cli for testing?

clear pulsar
#

Yep you would use the CLI to forward to that endpoint

jaunty lily
#

ok

#

we do not have a public endpoint yet. So I am confused.

#

I have another stripe test account and the default is the 2022-08-01 version

Hi ๐Ÿ‘‹ are you using the stripe listen command to listen to Events via the CLI and forward them to a local endpoint?

jaunty lily
#

yes. See my recent screen shot. This is for another developer account, and it is showing the correct 2022-08-01 as the default version.

#

I have never setup and actual endpoint yet. Just using stripe-cli and localhost. So I am confused. sorry ๐Ÿ˜ฆ

By default that command will use the default API version for your Stripe account. The only way to change the API version being used, is via the --latest option, but that forces the CLI to use the latest API version which it seems like your account is already on.
https://stripe.com/docs/cli/listen#listen-latest

The CLI does not offer the ability to use an API version other than your default or the latest version.

Right, so how do I change the default API version for my Stripe Account is really the question.

#

from the dashboard

#

or other means

frail pilot
#

You cannot downgrade the API version of an account through the dashboard (unless you recently upgraded and are within the rollback period).

I would suggest reaching out to our Support team to see if they have a way to downgrade your API version:

or I cant?

#

ah OK thanks

Any time!
