Upon confirmation, I get redirected to my API to "unlock" the purchased objects and get properly redirected back to frontend.
this is really unreliable and you shouldn't use it as your method to fulfill orders

instead you should rely on webhooks https://stripe.com/docs/webhooks/quickstart
