Escalated as in your have a ticket that is still ongoing? Or something else?

honest mango
#

Yes we have an ongoing ticket and the support has been underwhelming

#

constant pushbacks

ruby nacelle
#

So to be clear is this a feature request that you are trying to get actioned? As far as I know products can only be deactivated once they have been marked as used.

#

And I do understand that sometimes they can get marked as used even when not used in a transaction

honest mango
#

no it's a bug fix

#

products not used in a transaction ever, and they cant be deleted

ruby nacelle
#

Ah gotcha, unfortunately I can't help push on that. If you send me your email I can double check that someone is still assigned to your case and watching the bug report, but if you are already talking to them it sounds like that is already the case.

honest mango
#

ive done that multiple times

#

not helpful at all

#

the team i am talking to has not been helpful and constantly pushing back saying our issue is not a priority

ruby nacelle
#

Sorry to hear, unfortunately I can't really push beyond that. I am happy to help try to brainstorm workarounds within our current API to help it impact you less if you are open to that

the product states we are "unable to delete products not used in a transaction" - we have NEVER used these products in a transaction but cannot delete them.

#

I think we just need this escalated up the chain a bit as this is getting nowhere and we want our account pixel perfect.

ruby nacelle
#

I think what might be happening is that if a price is created on the product it can't be deleted, even if that price isn't used in a transaction.

#

Does deactivating them not remove them from the UI?

honest mango
#

that's not what the product tooltip states it says only cant be deleted if not used in a transaction specifically

#

This is something that can be deleted from the database manually so i am confused why this is like pulling teeth

#

archiving them is messy, we dont want to see archive mess

#

and we still should be able to delete them as they have not been used in a transaction
