Hi there 👋 is there something specific about that process, or regarding what you would like your code to do in these situations, that you're looking for assistance with?
Our subscription tiers have multiple products so we are not sure if it is possible for one of our users to upgrade to another tier in the billing portal
For example 1 plan has a base price and web user seats and mobile user seats
I believe it is, are you running into problems when you try to enable that functionality?
There are some limitations regarding what Subscriptions can be displayed/edited within the Customer Portal, you can find those limitations listed here.
I think that may be the problem alright. Do you know if we start a user on a trial and another subscription was created after that. Would Stripe call that a successful trial given that there is an active Subscription for that user ?
Just thinking rather than updating it could be easier to create a new subscription? But we would like to benefit from the reports
Sorry, I'm not sure I understand what you mean when you say "Would Stripe call that a successful trial". We don't have the concept of a "successful" trial, if you are planning to add your own success criteria to the Subscriptions that you create and alter downstream processes because of it then that is something you will need to build.
Stripe shows Trial conversations on the Dashboard so I’m wondering what that is based on ? Is it based on the user or the user trial subscription ( Hope that makes sense ! )
That I'm not sure about (we focus more on helping developers integrate with our API, and are not as familiar with reporting functionality that is available in the Stripe dashboard).
Below is the text that I see when hovering over the information icon beside the graph:
This measures your success at converting trials to active subscriptions during a rolling 30-day period. Out of all trials that ended in the last 30 days, your trial conversion rate is the percentage that converted to an active subscription with a paid invoice.
I wouldn't expect that analysis to draw a connection between multiple Subscriptions for a single Customer, but would recommend reaching out to our Support team for additional clarity regarding what that graph displays.
