HI there, taking a look now

#

I'm confused about your question. What does pay_immediately do in Avalara? What behavior are you hoping to replicate?

specifically If you prefer not to use draft invoices in Stripe Invoicing, to make sure that the sales tax is calculated for subscriptions, set the pay_immediately=false flag. This prevents Stripe Invoicing from paying the invoice for some time after your subscription is created, and AvaTax for Stripe Invoicing can update the first recurring invoice within this time frame. Contact Stripe Invoicing Support to have them add your account with this argument to their allow list. Only accounts that are on the allow list can use this argument.

#

that implies that the pay_immediately parameter can be set to false on a subscription update. but i just wanted to confirm 100%

#

or would it be better to create draft invoices when previewing changes to a subscription?

This sounds like a better question for Avalara. Stripe doesn't have a pay_immediately flag and I'm not sure what the side-effects of turning it on for Avalara would be

you definiately do, i had someone in support enable it for two accounts this morning

Can you point to documentation of that flag?

#

Non-Avalara documentation, I mean

#

We don't really have context on 3rd party applications in this server, so it's possible there's a Stripe support workflow for handling these types of questions, but we wouldn't have state on that here

I wish i had documentation from stripe on it ha, i had a chat with a Jonaina in support today who know what i was referring to and enabled the flag on our accounts

You should continue working with support in this case, for the reason I mentioned above. I'm afraid we don't have a lot of context on Avalara's integration with Stripe.
