๐ happy to help
application_fee_amount is the exact amount that your account will receive and it is not taxable
you need to include the tax in that amount
How long does the process take to make sure that this is happening as expected?
I'm not sure I follow
I see the amount on the connected account
on the UI
when will I see that in our account?
Also, we added a full amount of VAT to the invoice. Can we expect to get that amount in our account or where is it going to go?
Finally I don't see the main amount going to the connected account which is what should happen if I understand this correctly: https://stripe.com/docs/connect/destination-charges#flow-of-funds-app-fee
Hi, sorry for delay, I am taking over my colleague. Let me catch up.
Sorry, I'm a bit confused about what is the issue. Let's start simple. How did you expect this to work? What didn't work as expected?
when will I see that in our account?
Immediately. It's here: https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/connect/application_fees/fee_1MU6cBD1W2ly61a7BjvMZiK5

All checks out to me inline with the diagram
All money is going to the connected account
which is what's confusing
I had seen those links you pasted before asking
But all I see is things going to the connected account and nothing going to our main account
That's what the fee_xxx object represents โ the application fee returning to the platform from the connected account. This is normal with destination charges like this, as per the diagram. We send all the funds to the connected account initially and then take back the fee
So yes, it looks like the connected account received a payment of $X, but the actual net amount is reflected clearly on their account
