Hey @lofty juniper we don't really have a good way for this. You can place a hold on a card to secure a deposit but it will only last 7 days today and then be automatically refunded. I'd recommend talking about your use-case/business model to our support team instead: https://support.stripe.com/contact

Bouncing off of that, in the event we would charge the customer instead of putting a hold and then refund at the end of the rental; Will processing fees be refunded when doing full refunds?
no we don't return our fee on refunds. Also there are rules around being allowed to take the real amount, that's why I'd recommend talking to our support team instead
You mean we might be flagged if we continuously do refunds on charges?
No I don't mean that. I mean that when you take a deposit like this you aren't supposed to take the funds, you're supposed to put a hold on the funds. Please work directly with our support team and they will be better equipped to help you with your business model!
