For context: we are already using the Stripe Terminal SDK (both Android and iOS) to create payment methods using setup intents and regular Credit Cards.

Our understanding right now is that we may not be able to use setup intents with Google Pay / Apple Pay

but we wanted to know if we can process Payment Intents using the Stripe Reader M2. Ex. Contactless payment using the reader and a mobile device with one of those wallets.

If so, is there any special documentation on how to implement that?

That is correct that you can't use Google or Apple pay with setup intents. I am not finding EMV specific docs, I think you should be able to just go through the normal flow and tap your phone to the reader at the appropriate time

I am 99% sure that is the case. Would you be able to test quickly? A colleague thought the same but we can look more deeply if that doesn't work

Oh, I will have to look into that a bit later on but with this information, once we have that in a place where we can test, I will test right away!!!
