Can you add a clear port to the forward?
Also is the CLI getting the Event, like do you see it on stripe listen?

OH! I think I've just figured it out

I'm running stripe listen and then stopping it to run the stripe trigger

do I need 2 cmd windows or can you run stripe trigger within the listener prompt?

yea, using 2 windows I'm seeing it inside the listener. god I'm a muppet lol
