So with declines, we just return what the bank gives us

#

It's possible that insufficient_funds isn't the actual issue

#

The customers would need to reach out to their banks to find out the real issue

Many of the cards are prepaid cards which are having insufficient_funds as the reason for it being rejected. Is this a common issue?

#

We dont have great channels to communicate with customers to have them troubleshoot the error the bank is providing

#

Its a sort of mass market product etc

Declines are a tricky issue since each bank is different. Prepaid cards are especially tricky since some have restrictions on online payments.

#

But if a decline happens you can either instruct your customer to try a different card via your ui or contact their bank

what would this mean? No descriptor really just its declined

Yeah they'd need to contact their bank

We only get limited info

Banks decline for all kinds of reasons

is there something that can be done on our end to make the banks less likely to decline our charges?

#

we're getting an insane amount of card failures atm - way above industry standard (20% in US based tx)

#

at 47% card failures

#

also is this actually a prepaid card?

Not sure. We're not really an expert on declines in here. We just help developers with api integrations
