There are a number of places nested in the Account object where an address may show up. When you say you "know they have one saved", how do you know this? Are you seeing it pop up somewhere in the Dashboard or some other resource?
I created the test account and included an address during the onboarding! here's the id: acct_1MPDKtEFExASH8u9
i can't see the address in the dashboard either
It looks like there should be a business address and an address for the owning individual. I'm not sure which of these maps to where on the Account object, so let me dig a moment and get back to you

otherwise, all the other places on the Account object where it might exist are specific to Custom Connect accounts only, and the account you gave me is an Express Connect account unfortunately

Hmmm... I don't see an email was ever added for this Account
Or rather, an email was added, but it was never confirmed. That's probably why that isn't showing up

Ah, fair point. Apologies for the quick responses, the server is busy so I may be overlooking something obvious. When you create the login portal for the Express Account, does it prompt for that info?
No problem! actually now that I think about it, I think it says "no email required for test account"

it also asks for phone number and i don't see that anywhere in the dashboard
so it seems like stripe just restricts what i can see?

I don't think it includes it when you use the test phone number
Where are you being prompted for address? Can you give explicit reproduction steps for how the account is/was created with an address so we can create one on our end with you?

trying to use Stripe as source of truth for our connected accounts' information, and we need their address
yeah that's just impossible sorry. We don't give read access to that information for Express and Standard accounts so you can't.
correct though it comes with its own set of risks/complexity.
