You can't do this from your end since you are testing on a live account.
If you create a test-only Standard Account then I believe you should be able to test

That is a real account that someone else controls

That said, if you pass a configuration to your portal session then I believe it should work without the settings specified

That was just a portal session request on your platform with a Customer that doesn't exist on your platform

I haven't tested this without setting the Settings on the Connected Account
Which you can do if you just create your own test Standard Account and log in and set the Settings

Well if you pass a custom configuration each time then it doesn't matter what their Settings configurations are set as
But no, we don't support using your platform config by default for your Standard Connected Accounts
