Hello 👋
How exactly are you trying to integrate klarna?
I activated the klarna payment method via the settings
Sign in to the Stripe Dashboard to manage business payments and operations in your account. Manage payments and refunds, respond to disputes and more.
but what else should i do? do i need to enter the klarna api?
Sorry, Are you using Stripe Checkout or PaymentElement?
In addition to activating the PaymentMethod, you also need to meet compatibility criteria
https://stripe.com/docs/payments/klarna/accept-a-payment?platform=web&ui=checkout#compatibility
no, i use checkify for shopify
Ah okay! I think you'd need to talk to shopify directly about this since it is a third party integration.
They control how your integration works
they accept klarna linked to stripe and it is already active commands for klarna on them
that side is already ok, they use strip to use klarna, but of course klarna has to be well connected to stripe
On Stripe, all you need to do is activate the PaymentMethod which you've done. We know nothing about Shopify integration unfortunately as it is owned by Shopify (third-party).
That's why you need to talk to them
yes dear, I'm telling you that I'm only interested in connecting stripe and klarna, for their part everything is already set up well
so is it enough just to turn on this stripe option? https://dashboard.stripe.com/test/settings/payment_methods and how does stripe communicate with klarna?

Enabling the payment method in settings makes it available for your integration.
If you were to build your own integration using Stripe Checkout OR Elements, you would set klarna as one of the supported PaymentMethod types after activation OR automatic payment method parameter would pick it up. BUT, your integration uses Shopify so you don't control any/all parts.
So to summarize, Shopify must know what comes next here and you should talk to them so that they can help with broader context.
Dear, I don't know if I explain myself well, as far as shopify is concerned, everything is configured well. Question is Shopify is connected to Chekcify (External Checkout). Checkify supports klarna via Stripe and it's active, now we need to connect klarna to stripe, is that just activation via settings enough? My question arises only to understand how klarna communicates with stripe if I haven't put any klarna API inside stripe.
You don't need to configure Klarna on Stripe aside from just activating it. Once you activate it, it should become available for "Checkify" to use. Checkify needs to make sure that they're using it correctly.
Now, given that this is a third-party integration, I don't know/nobody at Stripe would know if "Checkify" has any additional requirements for you to enable klarna.
Does that make sense?
yes since checkify has been enabled. so from what i understand stripe evades klarna on its own and doesn't need to interact with my klarna portal.
That's not how it works. It depends on how your integration is built. And our team/nobody at Stripe would know how "Checkify" is built OR how it works so we won't know what exactly is going wrong here.
Like sure, "Checkify" may use Stripe but they have built their own integration. The use of our APIs and Elements is upto them.
I see. As far as I can tell, you'd need to work with "Checkify" or Shopify support. However I'd recommend talking to our support team to see if they have any additional recommendations on this
