Hello ๐Ÿ‘‹
Can you share a screenshot of what exactly you're looking at? Want to make sure I am on the same page ๐Ÿ™‚

#

Typically, When you collect a transaction fee on top of a charge made for your user (using Connect), an Application Fee object is created in your account.

Sure thing. Are you familiar with Stripe Connect?

#

No

Ah hmm ๐Ÿค”
So Stripe Connect allows you to collect Payments and route it between multiple parties. Like how uber, lyft, doordash collect payments and then distributes it between drivers and restaurants etc.

#

Let's take DoorDash for example

#

With Stripe Connect, DoorDash is a Platform application that allows customers to order food and get it delivered.

#

In addition to that it allows restaurants to deliver in places they may not usually deliver

#

And for this they charge a fee per transaction

#

Which is what an Application fee is theoretically.

#

does that clarify?

cinder blade
#

Yes, a little. In our case, these are sales made in Comment Sold. Would this be our "application"

fossil fog
#

Yup, exactly. So "Comment Sold" might be charging you a fee per transaction.

cinder blade
#

Ok - sounds like they are. And that would show in our Stripe account, correct?

#

That's what we're seeing, we just want to be sure we know who to ask about what fee

Yup I believe that's what you're seeing! ๐Ÿ™‚
