HI ๐Ÿ‘‹
Thank you for raising this, taking a look.

From what I can tell from past documentation, they didn't read the static / dynamic statement descriptor instructions properly and just put static*dynamic all in one string and added it to each product individually instead of setting it in the company settings? Our company wide statement descriptor is blank which is why it's set on products

#

Basically what I'd also like to know is how we can recreate this the correct way ๐Ÿ˜“

Sorry, I'm not quite sure I understood that last part. Is there something specific that is unclear about how you should be updating these settings?

Yeah so we clearly have an "invalid" statement descriptor in our products, but the company leadership doesn't want that to change

#

so I need more info on how to set everything up so it appears the same but is set up in a valid way

#

if that makes sense ๐Ÿ™‚

#

would I put CE as the company wide statement descriptor and then keep ourdomain.com on the product? static + dynamic ?

I'm double checking, but off-hand I don't think we concatenate the company statement descriptor with the product specific statement descriptors, I believe only one of those will be used.

If you want to combine two values, then prefix + dynamic suffix is probably a better approach, but that would likely involve updating your integration so the dynamic portion is set for each payment.

Apologies for the delay, but I was able to confirm that we won't concatenate account descriptor + product descriptor.

OK.. sounds like we may need to go back to the drawing board, our company has several "sub brands" which is why the products each have a descriptor that may be different, but we probably need to refactor without the asterisk. Thanks!
