I think the issue here is that you used your connected account's secret key, not your platform's secret key. When making a Connect request with the Stripe-Account header you need to use your platform's secret key.

Are you sure? The other thing it could be is that you're specifying your platform's account ID instead of your connected account's ID.

No I'm afraid that's not how it works unfortunately.
It has to be in the header.

Are you seeing the failed request in your request log by any chance? If so, can you share the request ID?

All good, yeah it looks like your Stripe-Account header isn't being set correctly here unfortunately.
Are you trying to create a subscription on the connected account OR the platform account?

I am trying to subscribe the current user to the connect account and for my platform to take a percentage

As i understand it i need to make allow the direct charge using the stripe-account header

Yup. So yeah without the Stripe-Account header, it won't work.
I see in the screenshot that Optional checkbox beside the header is ticked
