When you mentioned about connect, do you mean you work with another partner for your payment? And you would like to have direct integration with Stripe now?
We are using "Stripe Connect" to handle ~100 of our 1099 partners.
We want to start using stripe as a payment processor for purchases for the services my organization provides.(Training and curriculum)
Should we be opening a new stripe account for this?
That will be up to your business decision whether you would like to process in same account or with different account.
Some merchants may want to have different accounts for each function, so that it's easier for them to reference to. Or have different user access to whom can access the accounts for the function.
On the other hand, you can also do in one single account if you don't have separation of concern.
