It sounds like that might either (a) require a manual review of your account before allowing recipient agreements types, or (b) be flat out no allowed.
Either way, I can't really say, as we don't really have context on specific Connect feature supportability by country. Our support team will be able to assist you better than I can: https://support.stripe.com/contact/email
Find help and support for Stripe. Our support center provides answers on all types of situations, including account information, charges and refunds, and subscriptions information. Get your questions answered and find international support for Stripe.
I seem to recall that recipient-only Connect accounts were gated and required a review of the account, so I would follow up with support, as I think they have to allow that for you.
Re. this question:
- Is there a possibility to attach an already existing paymentMethod with card details, to an account? Nothing in the documentation points to that possibility, but rather points towards a creation of a bank account object
Payment Methods are for Stripe Customers (e.g. consumers), whereas Connect accounts have to have a Payout account, which is a bank account
Thanks for the answer! This might be a stupid questions but is there no way to make transfers to customers, rather than having to also create an account in order to make payouts to them?
That's not a stupid question at all! Unfortunately the answer is: no. You have to create a Connect account in order to pay out to a person or entity other than yourself
