You can attempt to configure what fields will be rendered when you create the Payment Element as we document here: https://stripe.com/docs/js/elements_object/create_payment_element#payment_element_create-options-fields

i tried this but then the payment intent fails

looks like finally the api still needs the country code and zipcode

is there a way to disable that at the api level also?
