Is there an other way apart from updating the customer to see if a tax id is in the correct format?

Yeah I saw it when I was thinking of making my own validation but then realised that there is too many conditions and that stripe already does this for me.

Yeah, unfortunately no other alternative than updating the tax ID on customer
