We have Test Clocks to allow you to simulate time passing 🙂
I suggest reading here -- you can test in the dashboard or via the API
I recommend using the API for complex sequences
Note that with free trials you will need to set & configured a payment method to be used after the trial

You can't do that for a customer that already exists. To test this a test customer must be created within the scope of the test clock.
