An example of a multi-tenant application might be a single application with multiple tiers of organizations managed within - in our case we have large organizations that login to https://company.our-app.com

where company is the name of the organization

for the billing portal, the redirect link for the tenant/organization would be different for each organization

a single redirect for example: https://www.our-app.com/account would take the customer to the wrong location, our url would need to include the company in the subdomain

You can control this via the API. When you create the Session you control the return_url:
