3Ds happens at the time of authorization. Once the authorization succeeds then you're all set and when you capture 3 days later (up to 7 days) it will just work, no 3DS needed then

Understood. Now - there are instances where we capture beyond the 7 day period. The way we get around this is by creating a subsequent charge once the original authorization expires. In this case, will we require confirmation?

yes in that case the bank could require 3DS again for that future payment
