Ah, so we aren't really the best team to ask about dashboard effects on Invoice, but you can create an Invoice that gets sent to the customer with a test card that is used for declines: https://stripe.com/docs/testing#declined-payments

This card specifically can be used to attach to a Customer, but fail the first charge attempt: 4000000000000341

That card helps with a payment failed event but invoice finalization occurs before then
