when you apply a coupon to a subscription it will take effect on all items

if you wish to apply the coupon on certain items but not others, we have a beta for this but you need to reach out to https://support.stripe.com/?contact=true and ask them whether you are eligible for that beta feature

yes sure you can, it's just we still don't propose this as a functionality to everyone using Stripe

nothing really that's particularly elegant. You could not use our Discount/Coupon objects

instead calculate your own amount and add an InvoiceItem with a negative amount

looks like they are not aware of such feature where the coupon can be applied only to specific items
