Hi there, it's really up you if you prefer to create off_session payments manually instead of using subscription.

Please note there is always a possibility that an off_session payment_intent would move to requires_action status, regardless whether this payment_intent is created by subscription or not. Your integration should always handle it and bring your customer back to your application and authorize the payment.
