doesn't matter that it uses /v1/
this just means you're using the wrong public key on the frontend for example, or are using Connect and did/did not pass stripeAccount

do you meet the requirements at https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button?html-or-react=html#html-js-testing and have those wallets se up in your browser?
and yes for Apple Pay you have to register your domain name https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button#verifying-your-domain-with-apple-pay
check the requirements in the link(use Chrome, have payment methods saved in https://pay.google.com/gp/w/u/0/home/paymentmethods)
