Hi, could you elaborate on "bank reference"?
hi @steep leaf , I will gladly share a formal definition😀
"In some countries, it is common practice for banks to use bank reference numbers for domestic transactions.
The bank reference number is a unique number used to identify the invoice for which payment is made. It is only required for invoices and for payments related to invoices. The bank reference number is communicated to the customer in the invoice document and is always reported in the payment document. The bank reference number is also required in the payment notes.
The length of the bank reference number varies between about 20 and 30 digits, depending on the country. The numbers are composed in such a way that they can perform a specific check to verify that the number is correct."
So which payment method is that? ACH?
I believe you can use Connect with most of the payment methods
yes it is
Yeah, then you should be able to use Connect with it!
Sorry, I misunderstood, our platform will actually use debit card payments, and with connect we plan to associate the account of our vendors but they also have a bank reference with which they have internal control of the service that was paid
Um okie, so what's the issue with that model?
the problem is that we dont have a mecanism (at least not known for me) in which we can say it to the vendor "We recived your pay and this pay corresponds to this reference (that your bank account given us also)"
If I understand you correctly, your Connected Account accept payment directly (a Direct Charge?) and spare a part of their sale to you as a platform?
As a platform we transfer the payment to a connected account belonging to the seller
Hmm so it's Separate Charges and Transfers flow?
If you want to somehow passing the information to the Connected Account, you can use metadata on the Transfer object
