The single line style of the Card element has just number input until enough digits is entered that the card brand logo is displayed.
Google's docs say In order to provide necessary information for the shopper, you must state the methods of payment accepted. Granted this might be fine if the info is provided in the footer, but I'm not sure exactly what counts as "stated"
The new Payments element does have logos in the number input field but does not support single line card entry
