actually...digging around a bit more in the Stripe dashboard, I see that there is no "Payment" on the order at all - I suppose that's to be expected?

maybe payment.completed is just the wrong event to be watching if some orders are $0?

As far as I know the Orders beta will not be continued to be developed. We have limited insight into beta features as we focus on GA features in this channel and can't discuss other private beta features in a public channel. I'd really recommend you talking to your point of contact at Stripe or our Support team here about this: https://support.stripe.com/contact/login

I would also expect that a order.payment_completed event would be fired. But yeah I'm not positive

yeah I've heard that as well, unfortunately - just trying to see what we can do in the meantime since we have it live in production (we're working on a plan for migration as well) - anyway, thanks - I'll do that
