As far as I can see, I think you can specify whatever currency you want on the payment intent/subscription. We don't mention that it needs to be the same currency as the account in our docs.

Do you have this set up in test mode? We should apply the same logic in test mode so if you try to charge USD to an EUR account in test mode that would have the same restrictions (if any) applied

I receive an error, when trying using docs
The payment method type 'customer_balance' does not support the currency usd.

there isn't a way around this really

#

bank transfers support one currency, for it to work the Subscription needs a Price in that currency
