Gotcha. I'm working on a feature for an application that I'm building requiring the creation/management of multiple connected accounts (to handle payouts from the one account out to the vendors using the platform).
I don't have the login credentials for my client's Stripe account yet, so I'm trying to just use an existing account that my business has for development/testing purposes (until I can switch it over to the live account).
There aren't any subscription fees for Connect in this circumstances, right? I can just use my company's account temporarily in a Sandbox capacity?

There are only fees for live mode usage, so you can create test mode accounts & connect payments to work on whatever you need.
