hello! yes you can charge a PaymentMethod (i.e. pm id) without attaching it to a customer. A PaymentMethod that is attached to a customer can be reused (i.e. charged more than once), but a PaymentMethod that is not attached to a customer can only be charged once.

okay, by the way, your words can cover all pmid case ?(i mean some pmid's payment_types is card and the others may be apple pay or google pay)
