Mostly asking about this so we can circumvent the PSI compliance issue of collecting customer bank info
So to confirm: you're a platform account domiciled in Canada that wants to accept US bank accounts as a payment method using Checkout?
Correct
Well, actually, it's via Connect.
So i see we can copy customer and payment method to connect accounts via the Token api. I've tested that and it works.
However, this is only if the payment method already exists on the platform account.
We have no way to collect US bank account payment method on the Canadian platform account.
Just want to confirm that only way to do this is to use Stripe Element and collect the US bank information directly in our application
So, I'm not sure if there are other ways to do this, but you should know that the Stripe Element is exclusively client-side and doesn't allow info to touch your servers, which means that PCI compliance shouldn't really be a worry if you're using that product
