Hi there! Unfortunately, you would have to have a separate form submit occur before the Payment Request Button is submitted in order to calculate that prior to payment.

Thank you two-shoes. I'm currently speaking with a Stripe Customer Support team member via chat on the Stripe website, and the team member is suggesting possibly using 'Setup Intent' , but that doesn't seem applicable for Apple Pay. The response body doesn't appear to contain anything regarding zipcode, plus I doubt I want to save their card information before they've even confirmed payment in the case they want to change their card. Does my assumption sound correct?

Yeah, that won't work in this case. You would end up still having to set up a custom form to submit before the payment is initiated
