so i set up a subscription on ghost through stripe

i then decided i wanted to change the price from 50 to 39 per month

but when i do that, it shows up as 50 on ghost, but when the person goes to pay

shows 39

does that make any sense? hahaha

I don't have your subscription ID so I can't troubleshoot further, but it sounds like the ghost didn't keep the data up to date

Are you talking about the promo code in checkout page?

You can set allow_promotion_codes when creating a checkout session https://stripe.com/docs/api/checkout/sessions/create?lang=ruby#create_checkout_session-allow_promotion_codes

I can only help if you have a direct integration with Stripe. It seems like you are using a plugin called ghost, so I'd suggest you reach out to them. You can pass the doc link that I shared earlier and ask them if there's any option in the plugin that allows you to set allow_promotion_codes
