Hey there

raven ferry

#

It should only be once

#

Let me take a look at that sub

raven ferry
#

the invoices are one-time invoices and NOT recurring invoices.

modest stirrup
#

So that coupon is 50% off for 3 months since it has a duration set

#

So it isn't a one-time coupon

raven ferry
modest stirrup
#

Ah wait it looks like the coupon was updated

#

I was looking at the initial coupon that was used

#

Looking more one sec

raven ferry
#

anything alarming?

modest stirrup
#

I wouldn't expect this since those invoices are one-off's but tied to the Sub. So I would expect it to only apply to the first one. But checking on whether there is anything special about using one-off invoices here

raven ferry
#

ok.

Okay checked in with a colleague and we agree this is unexpected. Next step is that I'm going to flag this internally. If you'd like to get updates about this, then you should send an email to our Support team (https://support.stripe.com/contact/login) and mention my handle bismarck in your email. Let me know when you have sent the email and I can grab the ticket and follow up over email as this is investigated further.

raven ferry
#

ok. going to do that now..

#

done. sent a mail.

modest stirrup
#

Hmm I'm not seeing it. You put bismarck in the message or subject?

raven ferry
#

i put it in the message - yes.

#

i have put it within quotes - "bismarck"

modest stirrup
#

Thanks, that was the issue

#

I see it

#

Okay I'll follow up over email

raven ferry
#

thanks. can you give a way forward for now? like should I not associate onetime coupon with subscription?

#

or any other workarounds>

modest stirrup
#

The way forward would just be to remove the one-time coupon after it is used if you are going to be creating one-off invoices.

#

So the flow would be to update sub with coupon --> create one-off invoice and finalize it --> remove coupon from Sub

raven ferry
#

ok. i will follow it. thanks.
