But you can configure up to three retries

Stripe will not retry failed ACH payments. This is to avoid overdraft fees.

Sorry for the delay. After checking, Stripe will retry both ACH and cards as per setting in https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic

If the retries of a payment failed, the subscription status will become the settings that you specified in https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic under the screenshot here
