Is theref a way to see the emails that were sent by stripe to this customer?
AFAIK, no there isn't. What is the issue that you are facing ?
You can configure Stripe to send emails prompting your customers to update their declined credit cards, at
https://dashboard.stripe.com/settings/billing/automatic

There is no issue. I just wanted to be 100% sure that the use was notified by email about the issue. The following issue created a doubt in my mind about the responsability of us vs stripe to notify the customer about the payment issue.
In theory, Stripe is supposed to send these emails. Here's how we are configured:
Yeah that it, you can preview, customize the email. And Stripe will sent the customer email in order to update the failed payment method, if you configure this, before that payment decline acquires of course.
