Hi there

#

Have you taken a look at those?

#

I'm happy to answer any specific questions you have or clarify any confusion

#

But first step is to read through the docs about each part of Connect

wooden canyon
#

Hi have read that

#

But I am confused does each user need to set up their own stripe account ?

hushed ore
#

Yes

#

Each of your users would have their own Connected Account

wooden canyon
#

So with stripe connect there is no way to integrate a form onto the site where a user can fill it out and then it is stored into stripe database ?

#

What is I have 2000 merchants on my site

hushed ore
#

Sorry, I don't really know what you mean by that exactly?

wooden canyon
#

Do they need to create a stripe account for each

hushed ore
#

Yes

#

Each business that you work with, your users, would need a Connected Account

#

Are you asking how you would know where to send the funds to? I'm sorry I want to help I just don't really understand where the confusion lies at the moment

wooden canyon
#

Ok I’ll try to explain, right now the business model is that a user comes into to the site and pays the merchant directly without going through the business of the website . We need a way for a user to a merchant directly where it will integrate with the website . I don’t want to have each merchant to create an account through stripe

#

I thought with stripe connect I could integrate a form where a merchant will put in their credit card details the it is stored in stripe when a user goes to pay that merchant an api could link it with that merchant credit card details details in stripe and then into that vendors account

#

Does that make sense

hushed ore
#

Sure overall that is how it works. But in order to have a customer pay you and then you move funds into the vendor's account, your vendor must have a Connected Account.

#

So you have to onboard your vendor

#

You can use Custom Connected Accounts to white label your platform if you want.

#

So that your users only deal with you and never deal with Stripe

#

But you still have to onboard them with Stripe behind the scenes in order for us to move money to them.

wooden canyon
#

But I’m not receiving any of the payment

#

It will be the merchant from the user

#

I am separate from this process

hushed ore
#

That doesn't matter. You are facilitating the payment as the platform, so you are indeed involved. Even if you are creating the payments for your Connected Accounts.

#

Know Your Customer (KYC) regulations dictate that we must onboard all parties involved here.

#

Financial regulations dictate this has to happen. We can't just move funds for you without that business being a merchant registered with Stripe (having a Stripe account) so we can complete the necessary legal requirements.

wooden canyon
#

But apparently there is an onboarding form that you guys provide that we can embed into the site where a merchant can complete the information and it yeh details will be stored there

hushed ore
#

Yep you can use our Hosted Onboarding

#

Let's back up a moment

#

Have you decided on the type of Connected Accounts you are going to use?

wooden canyon
#

What are the options please

You can also reference the sample above that @willow gyro provided!

So I have looked through this document and don’t understand it fully. We embed this code on the site in the merchant’s dashboard. They fill out this onboarding form and store their credit card details in stripe. What I don’t understand how the process works after that to enable a user to pay a merchant directly

#

Sorry but it’s a little bit confusing
