To be clear, are you talking about our receipts through one time payments with Checkout or are you using our Invoices API?

but i need something attached once customer purchases an item

Ah gotcha. It looks like our receipts in that vein don't support attachments like that. The wordpress plugin may have some solution for this so it may be helpful to reach out to their support to see if they have guidance on fulfilling digital orders
