If you're using this via connected, the domain needs to be register via your connect platform:
https://stripe.com/docs/stripe-js/elements/payment-request-button?html-or-react=html#html-js-using-with-connect

I know you're using the payment element, but the domain registration requirements with COnnect are equivalent, so please try that. You'll need to remove the domain from the connected account dashboard first, then register with your platform
