hello! how can i help?
Hello! Yesterday we had a meeting with Lisa Wang because of our interest for a cooperation, (we´re searching for a payment provider)
And we want to take our own Terminals for it, now we need to know how we can make our terminals Stripe compatible
i'm not familiar with the name Lisa Wang. However, afaik, Stripe Terminal works only with our own Stripe pre-certified card readers.
okay, this was her answer: Regarding the question if a custom terminal can be used with Stripe. Yes, it is possible. The hardware and software must only be compatible with Stripe
So we have our own card readers, and she told us that it is possible, we only need to make our terminals or readers Stripe compatible, i.e. adopt your protocols etc.
Sorry to redirect you but I think it may be best if you continued the conversation with your contact. I don't have any context on this discussion so it's a bit difficult for me to help. It's entirely possible that she may be talking about a beta which I don't have knowledge of.
the thing is, she directed me to the support, unfortunely it was just the link for the support
i asked for a technical contact, but she replyed with this link to me
were you communicating over a support ticket originally? or via email?
via Email
we had a teams meeting yesterday, after that we communicating via mail
She told us by herself that she can´t help anymore, she´s just sales
we need a technical person to solve our problem
hmmm, can you share your account id, let me see if i can find any details of your conversation
your account id will start with acct_
oh yeah, sorry, my bad, you don't have an account with Stripe yet
can you paste the email of your contact?
alright, going to delete it since i have it on hand now
so i've checked internally and we definitely don't support custom terminals. We only support Stripe's own terminals. Sorry about that
